From sauces and dressings to non-alc wine, the craft vinegar startup is trying to take over the grocery store, several aisles at a time.
When the craft vinegar startup Acid League launched two years ago, I was an instant fan.
Its first products — a bright Meyer Lemon Honey, spicy and savory Garden Heat, and subtly sweet Strawberry Rosé — felt different and, crucially, tasted great. Its brand and packaging design stood out, both on the web and on the shelf.
And it had a streak of mad-food-scientist flair, frequently introducing “experimental” vinegar editions in small dropper bottles — with flavors like Celery Stalk, Amarena Cherry, and Grape Soda — to keep followers and devotees engaged.
