Creative Director @ Freshly

The Creative Director will be responsible for managing the Freshly brand, creative assets, graphic design, photography and the UX/UI experience across multiple platforms. This person will lead the execution of a unified brand look on the website, mobile, marketing and packaging. The right person will have a passion for design and a thorough understanding of its impact on engagement and commerce, specifically with the brand’s core audience and customers. The Creative Director will play an important role in the overall brand and creative direction of Freshly.


-Define the creative voice and collaborate with tech, marketing, editorial and product to bring it to reality

-Lead the creative direction and architect the UX/UI customer experience by working closely with the tech team for its application and implementation

-Create digital design assets for ads, banners, and emails for the marketing team

-Direct photo shoots of food and packaging for the marketing and R&D teams

-Set visual tone for brand and product videos both onsite and across social media channels

-Work with editorial team to design the visual assets required for the blog

-Develop and steward the brand style guidelines for all touch points

-Build a powerhouse design team


-7 years or more of professional creative experience with digital and UX/UI design required

-Consumer brand and/or e-commerce experience preferred

-Proven record of career accomplishments and growth

-Deep understanding of design and how it relates to marketing consumer products

-Effective communicator – strong ability to work collaboratively with other team members

-Ability to work in a fast growing e-commerce environment and deliver design requirements with tight timelines

-Enjoy a hard working but fun start-up culture

-Willingness to roll up sleeves to get the design work done

-Positive, self-motivated, growth mindset with a high EQ


-Ability to conceptualize a design concept, incorporate team feedback/requirements, set forth an execution plan and adhere to deadlines

-Expert knowledge with Adobe Creative Suite, Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign and Sketch

-Asset/Icon design skills

-Interaction/animation design preferred

-Wire framing in Balsamiq a plus

-Knowledge of HTML/CSS a plus

-Knowledge of mobile responsive design required
